Game Informer has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is the cover story of its next print issue. Confirmed The magazine says the feature runs to 14 pages, with exclusive interviews with Rockstar Games and around a dozen new screenshots. The cover shows Jason and Lucia together in a car, armed, in the same stylised art Rockstar has used throughout the campaign.
Issue 382 goes on sale on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, a little over seven weeks before launch.
Why it matters
Rockstar has kept its press appearances tightly controlled. Beyond the Extended Look on August 27 and the previews from Rockstar North that followed, most new information has come from a handful of interviews, usually with Rockstar North's Rob Nelson. A long magazine feature with fresh screenshots is the biggest block of new material since then, and it is likely to include details that haven't appeared in any preview so far.
It is also a small piece of history for the series. Game Informer has put major Rockstar games on its cover before, and fans have been hoping for a GTA 6 cover for years. Earlier in 2026, rumours that one was coming turned out to be about a different game.
