Rockstar revealed the first six radio stations in Grand Theft Auto VI on October 8, adding a music section to the official GTA 6 website with a short preview of each one. Confirmed The DJs are characters voiced by real artists, including Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robyn, Burna Boy and Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya. Confirmed
Rockstar calls it the series' "biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet". Confirmed
The six stations and their hosts
| Station | Sound | DJs (played by) |
|---|---|---|
| Flash FM | Pop and dance | Robyn and Alex (Robyn, model Alex Consani) |
| Cocoteo FM | Modern Latin: bachata, merengue, dembow, reggaeton | El Martillo and La Gata (Bad Bunny, RaiNao) |
| Back Country Radio | Classic and outlaw country | MW and Delta Dawne (Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey), plus reporter Mud Dog Mike (Jeremy Dufrene) |

| Dirty South Classics | Southern rap and hip-hop classics | Trick and Trina (Trick Daddy, Trina) |
Each preview names three songs. Highlights include Slayer's "Raining Blood", MGMT's "Electric Feel", Bad Bunny's "EoO", Loretta Lynn's "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin'" and DJ Khaled's "Born N Raised" with Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull. Confirmed Every confirmed song, station by station.
Flash FM is back
Flash FM was the pop station in 2002's GTA: Vice City, so its return was close to guaranteed for a game set in a modern Vice City. Rockstar promises a station "guaranteed to make you dance no matter where you find yourself in the Goodtime State." Confirmed
Two series firsts: radio on foot, and podcasts
- Radio on foot. Jason and Lucia can listen to the radio outside a vehicle, through earbuds or headphones connected to their phones. Confirmed In every earlier GTA, the radio stopped when you got out of the car.
- On-demand podcasts. You pick an episode and play it in a car or on foot, instead of tuning in to a live talk show. Confirmed Rockstar hasn't named any podcasts yet.
More stations are coming
Rockstar's announcement lists more genres that don't have named stations yet: classic rock, modern hip-hop, dance, '80s, electronic, blues, ballads and talk radio. Confirmed That points to well over six stations in the finished game. The radio is separate from GTA VI: The Album, the 34 original songs out on November 19. Rockstar also posted three new Vice City screenshots alongside the reveal. Confirmed
What the hosts said
Lana Del Rey told Kotaku the role is "super special and a privilege", and said that when some of her family first moved to Los Angeles, "they actually knew the roads because of playing GTA V." Preview report RaiNao told Pitchfork that "Cocoteo gets our vibe, our slang, our taste, our pride". Preview report
Our read
Back Country Radio is one of the station names reportedly seen in August's leaked footage, so at least one leak detail is now official. Rumor / leak With six weeks to go, expect the rest of the dial to be revealed in stages, probably on Thursdays, which is when Rockstar has posted most GTA 6 news since August. Rockstar's Thursday pattern.
You can listen to all six previews now on the official GTA 6 website. Each runs about two minutes, with DJ chatter and clips of the three named songs.
