Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch. GTA 6 is only confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two's CEO hinted at other platforms at a September 2026 shareholder meeting but did not confirm a PC version. Past Rockstar games reached PC months or years after console.
Is GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. GTA 6 is only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Is GTA 6 enhanced for PS5 Pro?
It runs on PS5 Pro, but Rockstar hasn't detailed any Pro-specific modes. A preview report said standard PS5 runs at 30fps.
Is GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2?
No Switch 2 version has been announced.
Online and multiplayer
Does GTA 6 have online multiplayer?
Not at launch. Take-Two confirmed GTA 6 ships as a single-player game with no online mode or recurring spending at release. GTA Online on GTA V continues.
Will GTA Online shut down when GTA 6 comes out?
No. Take-Two describes GTA Online as a strong ongoing business that keeps running alongside GTA 6.
What is GTA+?
Rockstar's subscription. Digital pre-orders of GTA 6 get one free month; it currently gives GTA Online perks and a library of classic Rockstar games.
Buying the game
Does the GTA 6 box have a disc?
No. Physical copies contain a download code for the Standard Edition.
How much storage does GTA 6 need?
Rockstar hasn't announced the install size yet. Expect it to be large and free up space before pre-loading on November 12.
Can I cancel a GTA 6 pre-order?
It depends on the store. PlayStation allows cancellation before release in many cases if you ordered well in advance and haven't started downloading; check your store's refund policy.
The game itself
Is GTA 6 set in the present day?
Yes. It's a modern-day Vice City, complete with a social-media parody (Snapmatic) and a rideshare app called Ryde Me.
Can you play as a woman in GTA 6?
Yes. Lucia Caminos is one of the two playable leads, and you can switch between her and Jason.
Will GTA 6 have first-person mode?
Previews reported no first-person mode at launch. Rockstar hasn't confirmed this.
How long does GTA 6 take to beat?
Rockstar North's Rob Nelson said his playthrough took about 80 hours.
