The main characters
GTA 6 is built around Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a Bonnie-and-Clyde style couple. Confirmed Rockstar's official summary says the deck has always been stacked against them, and when an easy score goes wrong they're dragged into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida.

An army veteran trying to go straight who keeps drifting back toward crime. At the start he lives rent-free in the Leonida Keys in exchange for muscle work for Brian Heder, and he's looking for an easy life that never quite arrives.
Lucia Caminos
Playable lead
Smart, tough and fiercely protective of her family, Lucia begins the game locked up in Leonida Penitentiary. Her ankle monitor plays a central role in kicking off her partnership with Jason.
Brian Heder
Keys drug runner and boatyard owner
A veteran smuggler who lets others do the dangerous work. He runs his business out of a boatyard with his wife Lori. Voiced by Stephen Root, who confirmed the role himself.
Cal Hampton
Jason's friend
A beer-loving conspiracy hobbyist who'd rather stay home listening to Coast Guard radio chatter than chase a big score. He also does jobs for Brian.
Boobie Ike
Vice City mogul
A local legend who turned street money into an empire of real estate, the Jack of Hearts strip club and Only Raw Records. Friendly right up until it's time to talk business. The Extended Look opens with a pickup job for him.
Dre'Quan Priest
Record label co-founder
Always more hustler than gangster, Dre'Quan has chased a music career since his street days and now co-runs Only Raw Records with Boobie.
Real Dimez
Rap duo (Bae-Luxe and Roxy)
Two friends who went viral and are now trying to turn internet fame into lasting careers, with Only Raw Records in the picture.
Raul Bautista
Veteran bank robber
A confident, seasoned heist man who recruits talent for bigger scores. He's the obvious link to GTA 6's bank jobs and appears in the Extended Look.
Rockstar's material also names smaller parts: Lori (Brian's wife), DWNPLY (a rapper linked to Real Dimez), Stefanie (Lucia's correctional social worker), plus figures glimpsed in the Extended Look such as Raymond, Ernesto, Mendez, Val, Andrés de León and Petra Navarro. Confirmed
How Jason and Lucia's relationship works

- You can switch between Jason and Lucia for most of the game, except at certain story moments.
- When you're not controlling one of them, they keep living their own schedule and text you about it. Ignoring those messages can hurt the relationship.
- Romance is optional. Work out together, shop, sightsee or pull off robberies as a pair to grow closer, or keep things strictly professional.
- Your bond can change how some scenes play out, but it's a roleplay choice with no stat bonuses.
- Small touches sell it: they hold hands on walks and hold doors for each other.
GTA 6 voice actors
Stephen Root has publicly confirmed he voices Brian Heder, making him the first confirmed name in the cast. Rockstar reportedly reminded other actors of their non-disclosure agreements afterwards.
