On August 18, 2026, an account calling itself CyberLeek began posting short GTA 6 gameplay clips, along with an image of the entire Leonida map. Rumor / leak More clips followed almost daily, all showing Jason early in the game. On August 20, one clip showed the player shooting the word "LEEK" into a wall, suggesting the leaker could actually play a build.

How old is the footage?
Reporting, including from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, says the material comes from a development build from around 2025, not the finished game. No Lucia gameplay appeared, which suggests a limited test build. Anything shown may have changed since.
How Rockstar responded
- Takedown notices went out across YouTube, X and other platforms. Confirmed
- Take-Two served legal subpoenas on platforms including Discord, Microsoft, X and Google, seeking data on accounts tied to the leaker. Confirmed
- The August 27 Netflix premiere and the November 19 launch both stayed on schedule.
CyberLeek published a manifesto attacking all-digital game sales, boxes with no disc and paid extra content, apparently aimed at the Ultimate Edition. Several dramatic claims made about the leak afterwards were later retracted by the outlets that reported them.
Protect yourself
Mute keywords like "GTA 6 leak" and "CyberLeek" if you want to avoid spoilers, and ignore anything offering a GTA 6 download, beta or PC version before launch. These are scams.
