Rockstar Games published the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15, 2026. The studio’s announcement confirms the game is still scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Confirmed
The trailer centres on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as an easy score goes wrong and draws them into what Rockstar describes as a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida. The official description emphasizes that they will have to rely on each other if they want to survive. It is a story setup, not a full mission-by-mission synopsis.
What the launch trailer confirms
- Jason and Lucia remain the central duo. Rockstar again frames their relationship and their reliance on each other as a major part of the story.
- The danger extends beyond one job. The official description explicitly places the pair in a wider criminal conspiracy across Leonida.
- Leonida and Vice City remain the setting. The trailer continues the modern Florida-inspired world established in the earlier official videos.
- Justice composed the original score. Rockstar identifies the French electronic duo as the composers and features their new single in the trailer.
- The release date remains November 19. Rockstar’s announcement repeats the date and the two launch platforms.
What fans should not treat as confirmed
A trailer can suggest tone, relationships and possible story conflicts, but it rarely explains the complete plot. A brief shot does not by itself confirm a mission name, the order of events, a character’s fate or a gameplay mechanic. Unless Rockstar identifies a detail directly, treat theories built from individual frames as speculation.
The same caution applies to claims that the trailer proves a particular ending, map boundary or online feature. Rockstar’s announcement does not reveal those details. We will update our guides when the studio provides direct confirmation.
The music is a major part of the reveal
The trailer features “Flower in a Hurricane,” a new single from Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Rockstar says the track is available on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which is available to pre-save, and says more information about the official score album will follow. Confirmed
That distinction matters: the original score is not the same thing as the licensed songs played on in-game radio stations. We’re tracking both in our GTA 6 soundtrack guide and radio station guide.
Where to watch the trailer
Watch the video on Rockstar’s official GTA VI website or read the studio’s Newswire announcement. Those are the best references if social posts circulate cropped clips or misleading captions.
