A giant GTA 6 mural is going up in Brooklyn, on the same corner as GTA 5's

Rockstar's final marketing push has reached New York, and it's following a 13-year-old tradition.

A large GTA 6 mural is being painted on the side of a building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, at the corner of Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street. Preview report Photos and a short video shared on Reddit show the Grand Theft Auto VI logo and Jason and Lucia, armed and framed by palm trees.

Rockstar hasn't announced it, but the artwork matches official GTA 6 key art.

A Rockstar tradition

The same corner reportedly hosted a hand-painted mural for GTA V in 2013, Notebookcheck notes. Preview report That one also went up a few weeks before launch, alongside a wave of New York billboards. Rockstar has promoted earlier GTA games with painted building walls too, so a repeat at the same spot looks deliberate.

What it signals

In 2013, the Brooklyn mural marked the start of GTA V's final campaign. With GTA 6 out on November 19, more city-wide ads are likely to follow. Miami already has the Kaseya Center sign, and the Heat's Vice City night is set for November 18.
